I am currently enrolled in the Construction Engineering Technology Management program at Fanshawe College and will be graduating in the fall of 2018. I have learned many skills at Fanshawe that I have been able to apply to my work at The Murray Group Limited and my everyday life. Such asMANAGEMENT• Able to analyze and solve technical problems/issues in many aspects of the construction process• Understand how to schedule, coordinate and monitor the progress of construction projects and the importance of doing so.LEADERSHIP/TEAMWORK• Able to act as a leader or team member when preparing estimates of time, cost, quality and quantity in tenders and bids • Capable of applying teamwork, leadership, supervision and other personal skills when working individually or in team atmosphere to complete work. INITIATIVE/ RESPONSIBLE• Understand and complete duties while assisting to monitor the work to ensure it applies to the contract agreements and any other by-laws or building code regulations. • Advocate and carry out workplace safety practices and procedures in accordance to company rules and legal legislation. DECISION MAKING/ WORKING UNDER PRESSURE• Have the ability to collect, process and analyze data to produce written or graphical reports and construction related documents in a set period of time.• Have experience in multiple computer programs that are industry related and the ability to choose the proper one to help & support the construction projects.I hope to secure a job after graduation in the construction industry where I am able to apply my skills and knowledge from my education to support and maintain the growth of a dedicated company in the industry.
