At Small's I have a number of duties. My primary focus is digital and social media marketing. I run all of our social media accounts and maintain our website where I update product lists and write monthly blog posts for the company. I use Google Analytics daily to target specific demographics and cater our messages to the necessary publics. I also work in sales on our showroom floor where I work with people on a daily basis helping them pick and design the perfect floors for their home or business. I deal with flooring selections in all of our departments from tile and carpet to hardwood and laminate. On top of these duties I also plan and promote events for Small's. If an event is open to the public I promote it via social media and work to get the best turnout possible. Company bonding events also fall under my job duties. I work to help create a positive company culture in order to help employees reach their full potential.

As Vice President of Brotherhood I served on the fraternity's executive board where I helped in making decisions for the chapter as a whole. My primary job was to plan bonding events for everyone in the organization. I also served as an outlet for people to come and talk to about ideas, issues, or just life in general.

During this job at Small’s Flooring I was required to do many jobs I was not previously trained in. This helped me develop into a quick learner, as I had to adapt in order to get the job done. The job was physically demanding and through this I continued to develop hard work habits.

My job at DIRTT required me to cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, vendors and community partners. DIRTT does not use standard forms of media for advertising (i.e. TV, Magazines, etc) so part of my job was to find creative ways to market and advertise. I would plan events hosted or sponsored by the company as well as run product education seminars open to the public. I also developed partnerships with local businesses to secure third party promotions. This job vastly improved my communication skills and taught me how to properly conduct myself in a high-class business environment. During my tenure in this position I was heavily involved in planning the Metabridge Technology Conference.

At DIRTT I worked assembling modular electrical boxes and cables. In my 3 years working in assembly I worked in both Steel and Wiring departments. At the end of my time there I was assembling the final product for shipment. Due to deadlines that had to be met daily this job taught me efficiency and time management skills.
