Sam is the managing partner of SorbaraLaw. Sam’s extensive experience includes all aspects of real estate development as well as corporate and commercial transactions. He is particularly attuned to client concerns and priorities in these matters as he has at times been lead counsel, and at other times, a party to the development project or corporate transaction. Currently, Sam’s practice is focused on corporate and commercial law with emphasis on corporate reorganizations and tax-driven transactions. Sam’s clients appreciate his innovative business thinking and actionable legal advice.Sam regularly advises clients on the purchase or sale of businesses or corporate reorganizations, especially when these arrangements require consideration of the rollover, reorganization and restructuring provisions of the Income Tax Act. Sam remains an active amateur musician and plays his drums and flute whenever time permits.
