Research AssistantBradley University May 2013 - May 2015Peoria, Illinois AreaI worked on two separate research projects at Bradley Univserity.Creation and analysis of titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films in order to study effects on photocatalytic properties when doped with different elements, started with molybdenum (Mo). I used chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to create thin films and analyzed the elemental composition using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).Creation and analysis of bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3 or BFO) thin films to study creation techniques and multiferroic properties. I used the sol-gel method to produce BFO films and XPS to study elemental composition. Sputtering (electron and argon ion) was utilized to "clean" the films. -
