I am a highly motivated and hard-working individual with good organisational skills and have a wide and varied work history. My original background was as a legal secretary, however, my last post was as a Phase Lead and Maths Lead Teacher (overseeing 24 members of staff). I have strong administrative, secretarial and communication skills and am able to work under time pressure. As an ex-teacher I believe I have many transferable skills, and have shown to be capable of:Working well both within a team and independently;Leading and managing teams;Reporting to senior members of staff;Assisting in interviews;Writing newsletters, reports, letters etc;Leading meetings;Delegating work as necessary;Organising and leading many trips, including residential trips;Organising and speaking to an audience of over 100 adults re: trips, examinations, etc.;Coaching and supporting staff;Analysing data;Liaising and working with other professionals.Before teaching I was a legal secretary. My duties included:Diary Management and schedule of meetings;Audio / Copy typing;Preparation of correspondence and legal documents;Covering other PAs as necessary;Proofreading documents;Coordinating reprographics;Coordinating and arranging meetings.I believe that my previous experience, within both the private sector and within teaching, shows that I am capable of working with senior managers and other staff members and that I have a wide range of transferable skills.
