I have the responsibility to ensure All young people in the town of St Neots are seen, heard, and served.In this role, I will create a supportive steering group with youth organisations engaging with young people in St Neots who can ask curious questions about what young people REALLY want.I will then carefully curate a diverse board of young people who represent their peers in the town. This group with include young people who are served/unserved to create an environment where social capital can add value to all.A policy I want to introduce is that young people will make the final decision on EVERY DECISION. What will this look like?The youth organisations will gather the thoughts and opinions from the young people they work with. This information will be then be collated and passed to the board for approval.You might be thinking, what does ‘The Future’ mean?This has been changed from ‘Youth Voice’ for 2 main reasons…1. Because this minor change in language bridges the gap between young people and decision makers. 2.
