Providing statistical and research design support for the faculty of medicine

I am currently the professor for HINF6030: Statistic for Health Informatics. This is a graduate level course that teaches basic statistical analysis, from hypothesis testing through th multiple and logistic regression, with a focus on interpretation of statistical methods

Work as a consultant and tutor within the Department of Statistics, consulting mostly with graduate students and faculty at Dalhousie University on a variety of research projects

­ Developing the automation of the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Program annual report. Programming in Perl, Tcl/Tk, R, and LaTeX, including interfaces between all languages ­ Developing an online Research Methods course directed at medical residents Programming in R and LaTeX Production of the videos, including filming, audio and video editing, and for- matting for multiple formats Designing and administering the course website, managed from within Dal- housies Blackboard Learning System ­ Performing statistical analyses on research done within the department of diagnos- tic imaging

Biostatistician in the Radiology department at the VG hospital. Worked with the NSBSP on automating their annual report, and with Mohamed Abdolell creating a research methods course for medical residents. Also performed statistical consulting on a variety of medical research projects.

­ Grading assignments for two classes, both at the third year level ­ Helping proctor midterms and finals for both courses ­ Running tutorials to help students with practical parts of the courses ­ Giving one-on-one help to students during office hours

­ Helping students in a variety of computer programming, logic and statistical areas ­ Working together with other TAs to solve complex problems ­ Administering the learning centre library ­ Teaching students the principals of computer science, and particularly the logic behind statistical and logical programming problems.
