I lead and inspire economic development across West Oxfordshire District as a place for entrepreneurs and businesses to thrive. I support the Council’s commitment to enabling economic vitality and resilience, building on local economic strengths including advance manufacturing, life science and a vibrant rural and visitor economy.I drive the Council’s economic ambitions, shaping and implementing strategy proposals which enhance the economic wellbeing of our communities.I work collaboratively with key stakeholders and partners to attract inward investment and new funding to grow a sustainable local economy and provide support for our business community to encourage start-ups and survival. I enable a significant programme of project interventions including those funded through UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund and impart my energy and resilience to ensure successful delivery.

As Community Investment Lead, I worked in partnership with our customers, the wider community, colleagues and strategic partners. I designed and implemented place-based local area plans. Informed by the vision and direction of our Peabody Community Foundation (PCF) strategy, and with a solid understanding of the needs and priorities at a local level, I tailored an approach to delivery that builds on the strengths of the communities I served that facilitates the continuous involvement of communities in decision making, nurtures partnerships and targets resources where they can be most impactful. I was responsible for designing and delivering community investment plans for my area, managing an iterative process of generating and analysing data and trialling, evaluating and scaling services that respond to local needs. I needed strong project and relationship management skills, where I ensured that deliverables are achieved creating lasting impact for Peabody customers and the wider community.

I am launching an exciting new project with West Oxfordshire District Council called 'Our house' with funding awarded from the Community Housing Fund.💜💜'Our house' will support single, under 35-year-old people on out of work benefits in West Oxfordshire. It will take larger properties and turn them into shared accommodation for them to live in. 🏠Participants, or 'trainees' will have the opportunity to be trained in different ‘trades’ while they renovate the property, taking on apprenticeships and being supported throughout the whole process. 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️👨‍🔧👩‍🔧🔨🛠🔩🔧The project is starting shortly with its first house in Witney but hopes to roll the scheme out to include more properties in the future.
