As an Engagement Officer at CADTH, I collaborate with people with lived experience, patient groups, clinicians groups and industry representatives across Canada to integrate the valuable insights and lived experiences of patients, families and Caregivers into our health care decision-making processes. In my role, I help facilitate the uptake and implementation of patient-centered engagement strategies in the Formulary Management Expert committee as well as various CDA-AMC projects. I have a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology with a Concentration in Criminology, Law and Social Policy and a minor in Psychology from Bishop's University. I've also receive a Certificate in Change Management from Prosci. I have over two years of experience in engagement, facilitation, population health, and case management, working with diverse and vulnerable communities at the municipal, regional, provincial and national level in Canada. I have developed and applied communication, problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills to support the delivery of high-quality and equitable health care services. As a person with lived experience living with a chronic condition, I've witnessed first hand the importance of embedding patient values into all aspects of health & social service delivery, to improve program outcomes and reduce potential harms to those we serve. I am passionate about improving health outcomes and enhancing patient experiences through engagement, innovation, and collaboration.
