I track every young adult novel newly released by major publishers and their imprints and document information about each book in the AYAP database. This information is released on a weekly basis via an blog post and email to all subscribers. I also interact with writing- and book-related blogs and websites, under the AYAP name, to help spread the reach of both AYAP as well as YA writers.

I manage all communications projects for the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (part of the National Local Technical Assistance Program). I design and edit a quarterly newsletter distributed to over 6400 recipients within Indiana and across the United States. To select relevant article content, I stay up-to-date on trends and hot topics important to stakeholders in local transportation, and match articles that supplement training events sponsored by Indiana LTAP. I write some articles and assign additional topics to freelance writers as well as LTAP staff members. Other design projects include conference and workshop brochures, programs, posters, flyers, and handouts to support each event. I maintain a directory database of over 6600 contacts. This is the contact database used to mail our newsletters and event brochures. I also draw from this database to develop LTAP's Annual Directory of Indiana State, County, City, and Town Officials Responsible for Road and Street Work. This directory is distributed in print form to 6500 people. It is available via download on the LTAP website in several formats, as well as an app for iPhone and Android devices. In addition, I manage the content of LTAP's website (www.purdue.edu/inltap) and ensure the event calendar, publications lists, and news postings are current. My supervisory responsibilities including managing a secretary, a librarian, and up to two student workers.
My projects include: • Copyediting for the journal First Opinions, Second Reactions (Issue 4.2, published by Purdue University Press).• Developmental editing for a nonfiction book by a Purdue University PhD student of communications, which explores language’s influences on behavior.

I developed and instructed English 106 courses (Introductory Composition) and English 420 courses (Business Writing) for Purdue undergraduates. For Composition, I designed two different classes, based on the "Rhetorical Situations/Real Texts" and the "Composing through Literature" syllabi approaches. (For more about Introductory Composition at Purdue syllabi approaches, see http://digitalparlor.org/icap/approaches)In my Business Writing classes, students researched professional uses of social media through a white paper project, designed effective social media campaigns for businesses, and create a professional portfolio to present when applying for jobs. In my Entrepreneur version of the class, students worked in groups to design their own businesses and promoted these businesses through individual elevator speeches as well as a full-length professional marketing presentation.

I worked with a team of proofreaders to double-check the details of all the datebooks ordered by schools across the country. We verified the formatting and made sure that all the information each school wanted was correctly placed in its datebook.

My chief responsibilities were organizing and managing the annual company-wide asset inventory sweep. When the ground work was complete I would analyze the data retrieved from this project and present the information to the department leaders--along with suggestions for strengthening company asset-tracking and data-keeping practices. In addition, I refined the company asset hardware salvage procedures, improving data security and environmental protection within the process. I also developed a cell phone salvage process, which further contributed to protection of company data and environmental resources.

I assisted university students with brainstorming and drafting written assignments that included freshmen composition essays, professoinal documents (resumes, cover letters, application essays), and master's theses in agricultural science.
