I am a licensed patent attorney at Klarquist Sparkman, LLP in Portland, Oregon. I work primarily on post-grant proceedings (IPRs and ex parte reexaminations). Over the years, I also have conducted patentability searches and analyses, prepared and prosecuted patent applications, and drafted freedom-to-operate opinions.

I have experience working with a wide range of technologies, including: medical devices (e.g., continuous glucose monitors, prosthetic heart valves), engine systems, aircraft, powertrain and suspension systems, winches, outdoor gear, footwear, household appliances, and other mechanical devices, as well as electronic design automation (EDA) of integrated circuits, blockchain, machine learning, and other software.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, fly fishing, and backpacking. I also play blues and boogie-woogie piano, exercise regularly, and am a somewhat avid basketball fan.
