Hi LinkedIn family! My condensed LinkedIn history: I’m a New Zealand born and NZ-US raised, career health professional. I paid my way around Europe at 18 with wages from a commercial fishing job in Alaska, returned to Aotearoa New Zealand, spent a very inauspicious 12 months at Otago University, and in 2008 returned to Wellington. I would then complete undergraduate degrees at Massey University of Wellington (BHSc in Sport and Exercise) and Auckland University of Technology (Physiotherapy).I have then spent my career primarily in private practice in the general MSK space across 🇳🇿 and 🇨🇦, with CPD in persistent pain, the McKenzie method (Certificate in MDT), and dry needling.My more recent experience is in sport-specific msk rehab, RTP, and injury prevention, including as Head Physiotherapist for the Wellington Blaze 🔥 as well as supporting the Head Physio where needed for the Wellington Firebirds 🐦‍🔥 (2021-2022). Myself and colleagues were also key contacts in the rehabilitation for professional athletes from several professional leagues (A-League, NZ NBL, NBL, NBA) and several professional teams (Wellington Phoenix, Junior/ Senior Tall Blacks, Tall Ferns, White Ferns, and Black Caps, White Sox and much more). In seeking an opportunity that focused on the day to day management of a clinic and leadership of a team, I joined TBI Health as a Clinic Manager and Senior Physiotherapist. This role was fast changing and required being across clinic and company strategy, revenue trends and profit and loss, salaries, team performance including appraisals, CPD/ training and development, auditing, as well as community program development through stakeholder engagement. I loved the challenge of management. During this time, I earned my Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Quantic School of Business (Class of July 2024). Now with Willis Street Physiotherapy, inspired by their vision for the future as a small business, I’m excited to see what the future holds.To know my 3-5-10 (year plan), simply ask.
