Hello, I'm Sam Thompson. I currently work at Deloitte in Dublin, Ireland in their Financial Risk Advisory division. I am studying for CFA Level 1 and FRM Part 1. I was educated at The Ohio State University and University College Dublin. I finished at OSU in May 2023 with a BSBA, specializing in Finance. I graduated with a second major in English, specializing in Writing, Rhetoric, and Literacy. I graduated Magna Cum Laude (2:1 equivalent). I finished at UCD in September 2024 with an MSc in Financial Data Science. I graduated with a 2:1 (Magna Cum Laude equivalent). At Ohio State, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Intro to Finance course. During this time, I improved my public speaking skills as I led classes through the content. I interned at KPMG in Cleveland, Ohio in the summer of 2022. This internship helped me recognize my interest in financial risk and allowed me to develop my analytical skills. Through my education and experience, I am comfortable with qualitative and quantitative analysis within the financial sector.I'm passionate about helping individuals and firms through financial risk and regulatory hurdles.
