I'm an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for building diverse, creative engineering teams.At BuzzFeed I managed teams across several time zones and continents, and grew my skillset from coding happy little front end features to planning large scale infrastructure projects. I created and documented full processes for my distributed team, and mentored other engineers into management. I led hiring loops, wrote architecture documents, and bought fun balloons for my reports on their birthdays.I spent the last year working on my passion project: a visually lush Dating Sim that my team managed to overfund on kickstarter last year. That project has brought a myriad of challenges: learning new coding languages and practices, running a fully distributed creative team, and running a small business to name a few. I am looking to bring all of these new skills back into my engineering career, and take on new challenges as an Engineering Manager of creative teams.
