I have three years of experience working in bike shops around Texas. I worked at World Cycles in Dallas for approximately 2 years in the early 1980s. My job duties there included bicycle building, repairs and sales. The World Cycles owner hired me in 1982 to run the Rainbow Jersey in Austin, Texas for a year before I went back to college for additional degree work. In retirement, I worked at Fond du Lac Cyclery, a local Trek/Klein/Giant/Cannondale shop. I have ridden and raced Klein and Trek bicycles from the shop since about 2000.In 2020, I concluded a 35-year professional career in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. In Fond du Lac, I participated in or led a number of significant bicycling infrastructure projects. During my time in Fond du Lac, my work team added three Wisconsin State Trails in the county, along with two bicycle trails built as part of local state highway projects. These projects continue to give me personal and professional satisfaction today.I am an avid cyclist. My experiences include recreational riding, USCF/USA Cycling racing, bicycle touring, mountain bike racing (WORS) and more recently, gravel riding and racing. I continue to train and ride local gravel races along with events like Unbound Gravel, Gravel Worlds, Robidoux Rendezvous, SBT GRVL and The Rad. I will be in Colorado in October for The Rad and a visit with our children.My wife and I are both retired and live in Denver, Colorado.
