My time in the military was spent coordinating field artillery firing operations. I learned the value of hard work, discipline and attention to detail. After the Army, I decided to go to school using my GI Bill and settled on health and fitness because I enjoy being active and wanted to learn more about it. I gained a lot from college but after obtaining my associates degree, I decided to pursue a career in the trades. I enrolled in Charter College HVAC program. I got hired on at Entek Corporation while attending school. I started my career riding around with other technicians, learning how to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment. I transferred over to Enteks mill team and spent a year at WestRock and Nippon, learning about industrial HVAC equipment. I was then assigned to the Commercial installation crew at Entek and began learning how to install units. I’ve installed a number of different systems including residential style split systems, ductless, water source, boilers, chillers, package rooftop units, and variable refrigerant flow (VRF). I am a licensed 06A low voltage electrician through the state of Washington. I have taken multiple continuing education courses. I am NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certified. I have my EPA CFC certification, I am Mitsubishi City Multi certified to perform factory start ups on Mitsubishi VRF systems. I’ve been to Daikin and Carrier/LG VRF classes and can install a unit from demo to start up. I can also diagnose and repair multiple components on HVAC equipment from capacitors to compressors. I have made plenty of mistakes in my career but have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by a wonderful team here at Entek. I generally enjoy coming to work everyday so I feel blessed. Looking to connect with like-minded professionals in whatever industry. We all have something to teach one another.
