I am a registered dietitian in private practice, specializing in eating disorders. I am passionate about helping people improve their relationship with food and their body. I believe in a non-diet approach that promotes Health At Every Size and incorporates principles of intuitive eating and mindfulness. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and enjoy incorporating these skills and help clients connect to their values in order to meet nutrition goals.

• Provide nutrition therapy for 20-25 clients weekly based in the principles of Intuitive Eating, Health At Every Size, and mindfulness • Develop plans of eating to meet the individual needs and treatment goals of each client • Work with clients to develop an improved relationship with food, exercise, and body image • Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and physicians to provide comprehensive care • Evaluate food logs, labs, and DEXA scans and use them to inform nutritional recommendations

• Assist the communications department in writing engaging, accurate, and accessible content including blog pieces, e-News articles, and research updates• Write and edit content for specific sections of the website, including content related to cancer risk and specific foods• Research and outreach to key stakeholders who can help share and promote AICR materials

• Assess and diagnose patients, develop interventions, and monitor and evaluate patients according to the Nutrition Care Process• Developed patient education materials to be used at the NIH Clinical Center• Performed literature review and analyzed data to assess seasonal variation in dietary intake and incorporated findings into an abstract and paper that will soon be published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics • Provided feedback to inform improvement in a program to provide healthy meal choices at NIH Clinical Center cafeterias

• Assist in development, conduction, and analysis of 4 community-based participatory research projects aimed at creative interventions for childhood obesity • Conduct literature reviews• Assist in the IRB approval process• Abstracts to be presented at the American Public Health Association and International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity 2015 annual meetings: • Mindfulness-based Pilot Study to Reduce Childhood Obesity Risk in Underserved New York City School-age Youth: Intervention Overview and Process Evaluation • Using photovoice to explore social and financial influences of food choices in low-income New York City youth

• Counseled patients about diet and exercise including developing strategies for change • Develop intervention plans with patients that represent the current AND recommendations based on medical and nutritional diagnoses• Created patient education materials for individual counseling and health fairs• Developed a proposal and curriculum for an adolescent and pediatric nutrition and fitness program• Assist with writing grant proposals to ensure continued funding of the Nutrition Department• Supervise and coordinate training and activities of other nutrition and physical therapy interns
