At ten years old, the collapse of the housing market and the 2008 recession showed me how life-changing finances can be. The recession’s widespread disastrous effect made me both afraid of and intrigued by finance. Since then, I have desired a better understanding of the financial world. After graduating high school in 2017, I worked two years for U.S. Congressman Daniel Webster and ALDI USA respectively to avoid college debt. After eleven months, I was promoted to shift manager at ALDI USA and opened and closed the store with my team of four. I continued working for ALDI USA at Bob Jones University while pursuing my bachelor’s degree in accounting. In 2021, my sophomore year of college, I accepted an offer from KPMG, LLP to be an audit intern in Orlando, FL. In December 2022, I graduated from Bob Jones University with a 4.0 GPA and the CPA-required 150 credits. In 2023, I began work as an audit associate for KPMG, LLP in Greenville, SC and continue to work there to this day.
