Coordinated large programmes seeking to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. Led research dissemination activities, produced communications plans and created multimedia content (see video below). Organised and participated in events London, Washington DC, Nairobi, and in refugee camps in Kenya and Ethiopia. Travelled independently to South Sudan to coordinate dissemination events and capacity building workship with civil society. Drafted donor reports, coordinated consortium partners, gave financial administration support. Supported country programmes with reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

Athens

Temporary transfer assignment to information programme for refugees. Conducted research into how to reach marginalised groups. Worked independently, organising and conducting field visits to refugee camps in Greece and Serbia and interviewing refugees and partners. Deliverables included a “playbook” with innovative outreach ideas, risk mitigation strategies and resource analyses. Ideas welcomed by senior staff and included in new proposals.

Represented EU in UN fora, including Human Rights Council. Coordinated team of interns. Produced speaking points, briefs and reports to strict deadlines for Ambassador. Reported to senior staff in Brussels. Attended EU coordination meetings, took minutes, drafted compromise texts for EU-led initiatives. Chaired panel discussion and facilitated workshop on refugee crisis (see summary below.)

Coordinated global evaluation of Human Rights Friendly Schools Programme. Collected and analysed data for over 500 schools from 23 countries. Supported writing of evaluation report, informing programme strategy. Coordinated strategy workshop with programme implementers.
