As the Youth Cricket Coordinator for Auckland Cricket, my role is mainly focussed on the delivery of competitions within the Youth sector and has expanded over time as I have taken on more responsibility within the organisation. My role can be broadly broken down into two key areas; Competition Management• Day-to-day running of Auckland-wide Secondary School and Youth Club cricket competitions (approx. 170 teams) • Managing entries, draw/fixture creation, ground allocation, results management etc. • Responsibility for ground bookings and maintaining relationship with Auckland Council regarding ground usage and availabilityOperations• Tournament Director of Auckland Cricket’s District Tournaments & School Tournaments.Full responsibility for implementation of District Tournaments. The tournaments are the first major representative tournament experience for players in Auckland (Years 7-13) • Organisation of ACA Junior & Youth Club Cricket prize-giving.Annual event for all Junior & Youth competition winners (approx. 500 attendees). Responsibility for all areas of planning and running event.• Assisting in delivery of International fixtures at Eden Park (T20 Tri-Series in February 2018).

We deliver football sessions in Primary schools, tailored specifically to the age group in question, ranging from 5-11 years old. Our sessions are focused around developing skills while ensuring the children enjoy themselves and can build a love for the game.We visit schools all over Auckland and have been running sessions in some schools for a number of years.

As part of my Univerity degree I undertook a work experience placement with NFF. Responsibilities included assisting the competitions department in all ways; competition set-up, fixture management, result entry of all NFF run competitions. I was also able to help in the planning and running of the football component of the 2011 University Games, as well as the Weir Rosebowl Tournament for 2011.
