I am Co-Founder and MD of a growing Cybersecurity company. I lead a team of highly trained and experienced cybersecurity practitioners with whom through advanced technology we keep businesses safe.FolIowing my passion for social impact work and desire to see a positive change in our society I am also the Founder of IMPACT AFRICA with Sam Uys as well as the host for it's YouTube channel. We empower young people in dealing with Mental Health, offer Career Guidance, Business and Entrepreneurship skills through what we call The Empowerment Lab. On IMPACT AFRICA's YouTube channel we create a safe space for conversations and shine a spotlight on some of Africa’s finest individuals who are shifting the needle and making a positive impact in our society through the work that they do. These are business leaders, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, influencers, etc. Sharing their journey, success, lessons, and what it means for them to Impact Africa, which in turn inspires our audience to do the same.Prio to the above I spent 7 years at Alpha International, a global Christian organization that help people of all backgrounds to explore faith. I had various roles with some being Regional Coordinator and then later Regional Director for KwaZulu Natal where together with my team I developed and executed strategies to grow Alpha in South Africa, training and raising leaders, empowered trainers, volunteers, church leaders and schools in order for them to run Alpha in their church communities. I managed key strategic relationships with stakeholders, donors, church leaders and other organisations. I have been involved in establishing and activating a number of social impact initiatives such as environmental education in primary schools, education and skills development for young people, training for sustainable food production in disadvantaged communities, fund development initiatives for young people to be educated and exposed to best practices in other countries, connecting donors/business people to organisations that need funds in order to carry out social impact activities in South African communities, youth development through football, this is to name just a few. I love opportunities that partner me with like minded people and organisations who do work that positively impact our society.We can use our skills and knowledge to make a difference in peoples lives and in change our society for the best. We all have influence and I believe that we can all do something, no matter how big or small because every contact leaves a trace and can makes an impact.
