For my Data Science master thesis, I have worked together with the municipality of Amsterdam to help improve the prediction of the WOZ-value (real estate price) using state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. The focus of my paper lies in finding novel methods for attaching prediction intervals to WOZ-values found with machine learning algorithms. The result of my paper is the ESPI method, which is an empirical prediction interval based on a combination of Shapley values and restrained clustering methods.

During a period of four months I did an internship at a venture capital group. TIIN capital focuses their investments on early phase start-ups in the tech and cybersecurity sector. My main activities were rating incoming capital requests and assisting the bookkeeping of both TIIN capital and the connected start-ups.

Together with 30 others I organized the Intree-week for the University of Amsterdam. This is a one week event in which 3600 new students get to know the University of Amsterdam, and the city itself. I was part of a team of 6 which was responsible for acquisition of more than 100.000 euro's. In addition we organized a congress where students and student orientated businesses could meet.
