I have an ever expanding interest of food that has been growing ever since I could formulate thoughts. The interest to me was nourished and brought to fruition by my lifelong obsession with food that tastes good, and the complete process of food production, service, preparation, as well as the ingredients respective uniqueness to the different environments around the world. With a global perspective considered; my affinity for art, history, and culture propel my interest in food, as I believe food in and of itself tells a story. Food is the result of the people producing it and the environment of which the food is conceived from. This unique connection between the environment and a chef - is what validates my interests and honors my inner-connection to the world. My interests Lie in learning about global cooking traditions and innovations to better understand the cultures and ways of the peoples in the respective environment of interest; which, for me is in Italian culture and food that stems from my heritage and connection to family residing in Italy. I use my passion for intercultural communicating in an effort to understand people between cultures as well as to creatively express myself. Since I was 15 I worked professionally in contemporary fine dining restaurants and have never stopped, even while I was living in Italy. I learn from having a wide variety of experiences and from what my personal bonds between mentor chefs have resulted in my own knowledge. I aspire to continue this passion throughout my life, while adding my personal values and ideas to my work to most effectively create things that bring joy to other people.
