In 2011, four teenagers from Amsterdam start a band. Palio Superspeed Donkey's English-influenced garage pop causes a stir, and several record labels take notice of the high school students. With their first demo recordings, they make it onto the 3FM playlist, as well as a French and a Dutch commercial.Their debut EP "Wateramp" is released in 2012 on the Top Notch label, after which Willem, Sam, Ruben, and Camiel play as much as the government allows for four 14-year-olds. They play at festivals such as Great Wide Open, Noorderslag, Paaspop, and De Wereld Draait Buiten. Now, more than two years later, Palio Superspeed Donkey has finally released their debut album. "A Funny Sunrise" was highly anticipated and was released on January 23rd. Tonight at 10:00 pm on 3FM's 3voor12 Radio, they will premiere their single "Obi-One."
