The Cross-Border Conflict, Evidence, Policy and Trends (XCEPT) research programme brings together world-leading experts and local researchers to examine conflict-affected borderlands, how conflicts connect across borders, and the drivers of violent and peaceful behaviour. Funded by UK Aid, XCEPT offers actionable research to inform policies and programmes that support peace. XCEPT is led by Chemonics, who work with the following research partners: Chatham House, Conciliation Resources, King’s College London, Malcolm H. Kerr Cargenie Middle East, Rift Valley Institute, and Satellite Applications Catapult.My top-line responsibilities include helping devise and action XCEPT’s research and policy external communication strategy. Activities range from supporting press, video production, event management and website buildout. I mentor and support junior staff to manage the day-to-day comms productions and work with researchers to turn complex research into clear and understandable communications that can be injected into the day to day of policymaking and international development practice.

Leads the development and implementation of external strategic communications and outreach activities for Chemonics’ newly established United Kingdom Division, including overseeing corporate communications and coordinating with project communications teams to share technical lessons developed through the implementation of Chemonics’ international development and research programmes.
