About Sam Walsh
I'm a freelance audio producer, writer and researcher currently working for Round Our Way.I specialise in sourcing original ideas, research, emotional interviewing, location recording, and editing complex features and documentaries.Before journalism I worked internationally as a survey scuba diver, carried out archival research at the HarryRansom Center in Austin, Texas, and spent a year as a mental health support worker. These experiences developed my ear for human stories and gave me the skills to frame them in non-judgemental and approachable ways.I grew up on the east coast of Scotland, and I've lived in Glasgow, Santiago de Chile, Cambodia, Greece, Mainz and Austin, TX where I got my start in radio at KVRX.
