ArtistSamantha Meurant Jan 2015 - PresentToowoomba, Queensland, AustraliaARTIST STATEMENT:I am an artist living in the South West Queensland town of Cunnamulla. With every painting my intention is that it will bring joy to the viewer, through the colours and the subjects in which I capture. My painting intends to capture the beauty and strength of Australian animals as well as native flora and fauna. I am also inspired by the homesteads and history of the shearing sheds and capture these through drawings with ink and graphite. My preferred medium is Acrylic paint as well as graphite and pen. My Art workshops intend to bring joy, an opportunity to de-stress and a potential hobby. I look forward to continuing to challenge myself in my art career and bringing the joy of art to those that participate in my painting workshops.
