About Sam Watters
*** No longer seeking other opportunities ***I am a software engineer with experience developing software at many different levels of the software stack, from applications to libraries, from operating system kernels and device drivers to firmware. During my career I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of systems, languages and tools. These include various Unix systems and Linux, from single processor systems to a thousand processors. Most of the software and firmware I've written has been in the C and C++ languages, but along the way I have also had to use Java, Perl, Python, Tcl and various scripting languages.When developing software I strive to learn about the subsystems that interact with that software to develop a better understanding of the system. I like working on close-knit teams that share information and like to teach each other about their areas of expertise. I've had the opportunity to work on teams that have spanned geographies and companies, and have learned the value of establishing good communication and information sharing habits.
