My Team Leader role involves the management of a team of 5 Recruitment Coordinators, we work together to ensure the recruitment process for new starters is efficient and their pre-employment checks are carried out in line with national/trust policies and procedures. As a management team we are responsible for driving best practice and positive change and development within the resourcing function. As the Recruitment Lead for the Diagnostics and Therapies Division of the trust, I aim to take a proactive approach in addressing recruitment challenges faced by departments within the division. This involves meeting with recruiting managers within the division to understand their key challenges with regards to recruitment. Once understood I seek to use innovative recruitment strategies overcome these. Whether this be by approaching candidate engagement in a different way, or by acting as a reliable point of contact for managers and the wider recruitment team, to streamline the recruitment process where possible.
