I provided technical inputs to the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) as part of BEQUAL (Basic Education and Quality Access in Lao PDR), a project that aims to improve teacher quality and learning outcomes in Laos, funded by the Government of Australia.

I provided technical inputs for activities related to English language curriculum, materials development, implementation of materials in schools and teacher training activities for approximately 1,200 schools (800,000 students in Grades 1-12).

Remote

In collaboration with another consultation, I designed a framework for the English for Teaching for Beginners course - an integrated language and pedagogy course for teachers in low and middle-income countries. I mentored writers working to develop the course content, and reviewed and edited their work.

I designed and produced English textbooks and learning resources for schools in refugee camps on the Thai/Myanmar border. I piloted materials and adapted them based on observations and feedback. I led weekly sessions to train teachers to use the new curriculum and create their own teaching resources, and supported them in the classroom through partner.
