I have sixteen years experience as a lab technician and analyst. My first five years were spent in an analytical chemistry labs performing inorganic chemistry testing on environmental samples using various methods and instrumentation in a UKAS regulated laboratory. I then turned my focus to work in a GMP/GLP accredited analytical chemistry laboratory that tested pharmaceutical drugs and products. I was heavily involved in sample management, reagent prep, analysis using GC and general laboratory technician tasks. Six years ago I changed role again to work for Cambridge Consultants which has been a true game changer, as well as bringing my skills and experience from working in an analytical chemistry lab. I have had a positive impact on many projects covering many disciplines and areas: electronics, synthetic biology, chemistry, biology, analytical chemistry, food and beverage, drug delivery systems, recreational drug delivery systems and many more. My main skills, are as follows: Competent in reagent and std prep, skilled at adapting to a fast paced and changing work plan i.e prototype development, soldering, coil winding, UHPLC operation and sample/reagent prep, good time management, following and writing SOPs, a good eye for detail, posses good dexterity for fine manual tasks and able to operate a wide range of instrumentation: UHPLC, Rheometer, Mecmesin force testers, spectrophotometers, custom rigs and jigs, run python scripts, laser cutter and many more.I have achieved a good reputation with at my current employer as very reliable technician that can get the job done to a high standard, has a good eye for detail, can pick up and identify faults or anomalies, and is pleasant to work with.
