My career:- Transformation: I played a major role driving the turn-around of the Labour Party as Keir Starmer's Chief of Staff. I helped to rebuild, restructure and professionalise the operation. From ‘-10’ in the polls when I took the role to ‘+30’ when I finished the job.- Sustainability: I am proud to have authored the most ambitious and comprehensive Net Zero climate strategy of any major financial service company, getting Board agreement to move hundreds of billions of pounds onto a sustainable basis (Aviva’s Net Zero 2040 Plan).- Government: Supported the Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling respond to the Global Financial Crisis and avert a deeper, more damaging economic crisis.- Corporate: As a senior leader in a UK plc reporting to the Exco, I built strong teams and designed and executed a range of strategies. As a result of receiving some of the top leadership scores, I was asked to take on additional teams and turnaround projects over my decade at Aviva. I advise leaders in industry and politics through my company Next Chapter Strategy and as a Specialist Partner at strategy consultancy Flint Global.I am passionate about greater equality, the living wage, climate sustainability, innovative change and economic reform.
