Negotiate monthly contracts with dealers for ferrous scrap and look for domestic markets to sell into or transfer to one of Schnitzer’s export facilities. Work directly with freight brokers and the BNSF to determine the best shipping routes for scrap material. Work with local industrial accounts for ferrous and non-ferrous. Help allocate Schnitzer rail cars to local customers, customers in the Oil Fields of North Dakota and look for more domestic avenues to sell ferrous scrap into.

Inspected incoming loads from industrial, commercial and peddler customers. Worked with operations to come up with recoveries for irony-alum loads and purchase large dealer volumes based on recovery. Purchase scrap from local dealers and negotiate contracts.

Purchased ferrous and non-ferrous scrap material. Took care of organizing MSHA classes for employees so we could process scrap material at mine sites. Put together BMP’s for safety and the SWPPP for the company.
