Responsibilities:• Guide Learner Mentors and students to build an understanding of Social Emotional Development which is positive in outlook, builds personal resilience and takes account of character strengths, mindfulness, gratitude and reflection as determinants of confident learning via the implementation of College Pastoral Care and Restorative Practice Programs.• Nurture a ‘presence’ within the student group and provide leadership for the house via preparation and conduct of College Assemblies, ceremonies and house events. • Encourage strong relationships with families and a sense of community connectedness • Work closely with the Director of Campus to ensure the effective function of the Campus is maintained and supported in accordance with the College processes and policies • Coach Learner Mentor staff through regular meetings to develop their professional pastoral and leadership skills using the GROWTH Model as the central coaching tool • Take responsibility for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Case Management programs and for liaising with external agencies.

The most prominent achievement while in the role, I feel, was facilitating the integration of all HPE curriculum on to the COMPASS School Management System and leading the HPE department in the creation of Learning Tasks, Subject Resources and Semester Reports as well as using data from COMPASS to inform our teaching and behaviour management systems. Other achievements include organising the construction of a new college gym, leading the planning and development of the new college multi-purpose synthetic grass sporting field, a restructure of the HPE storeroom, purchase and integration of innovative technology for senior PE students, leading the presentation and organisation of the department in events such as Parent Information Nights, College Assemblies, Award Nights and Open Days and assisted in introducing an upgraded sun-smart policy.

My experience ranged from public high schools and primary schools, preparatory schools, religious schools, special needs schools and pupil re-integration units. Due to good reviews and requests from multiple schools I gained ‘guaranteed supply’ work for while I was living in London. I was also able to secure a range of on-going contract roles at a variety of schools. Teaching in London invaluable experience and found myself being placed in situations in which I was constantly required to adapt according to my surroundings.

I have trained clients of all ages ranging from a 19 year old female with a severe case of patella tracking syndrome to 60 year old male with dangerously high blood pressure and stress levels. I have trained clients not only with injury or health constraints but also clients aiming to gain healthy body mass and or lose weight.In clients such as those with injuries and health issues I have been able to successfully work around the issue to give the client a better quality of life. I regularly consulted with allied health professionals to gain the best outcomes for my clients.
