Personal Brand "Samsgottacatchemall" - Live Streamer/Selling - Content Creator - Pokemon - B2C/B2BSams Gotta Catch Em All Aug 2020 - PresentLeicester, England, United KingdomDuring 2020 noticed people found it difficult to get Pokémon cards (due to various Lock Downs) so sourced and delivered on what the demand was for English Pokémon. Created my website (Shopify) and serviced 100’s of orders per week. Started off with my last £400 in my account.Quickly realized that there was a large gap in the supply chain for foreign language Pokémon cards, and the best way to reach those people was through social media. Sourced Pokémon product at close to retail price in Japan and China. Set up and run a TikTok (40,000+ Followers) YouTube (13,000+) and Instagram (2,500+) where I was posting 15 times a day across all medias & going live for 6 hours an evening. Grateful that at the time (and still to this day) the majority of people want to buy Pokémon in the evenings so could work for other clients and still have a (what is now) full time side hustle. I set up a discord for the community with 250+ people to give in sites and share an understanding of what it was they needed, so I could source the products and give out my best information on a daily basis.Switched from sole trader to LTD company registering for VAT once I switched from TikTok selling to WhatNot as the sales meant I had to register.As the business was very cash flow heavy (Buying stock, waiting for it to arrive, selling it, then 7-10 day pay out from the platforms), in 2023 I decided to team up with a reputable UK brand CardGalaxy who buys the stock, relieves the pressure from me on that front in exchange for a profit share, allowing me to sell and package items full time taking 5 figures every week. I’ve hired a second streamer for the channel and our goal is to become the 1st 24/7 channel on WhatNotUK.
