Operations Director and Safeguard Lead (DSL), Mental Health Lead, Coach and Welfare Officer- Burnley Enterprise of Sports and Training CIC (non-profit) (BEST). BEST hosts sporting activities to Burnley and surrounding areas. I understand the sport and the breakdown of how British Gymnastics together with various sports and what works structurally as an organisation. Operations of the Centre is managed by me. from cleaning through to safeguarding and welfare.As operations Director:- my work ethic does not just stay within the remit of my work. I developed a programme during COVID-19 which enables young females to engage with sport throughout the entirety of the local region. The project is called “The Period Coach” – relating this to Gymnastics and I, myself coaching. Period Poverty is on the increase particularly in areas like Lancashire, so I decided to engage with this and create a free period product bank whereby I organised packing days where gymnasts and volunteers packed what we called “period Pamper packs” over 4 years we have sent out over 45,000 of these packs to females in our community. The concept behind this was to overcome the Stigma that females can engage with sport when on their periods because they have provided with the tools, they need to begin a journey of better mental health and physical health. This gives a woman her confidence back. Furthermore, I decided that we need to engage with local school to help teachers teach about menstruation. I developed a programme to engage with local school children and show them the products and demonstrate how to use them they particularly love the "Granny Knicker Game". This has been so much fun
