Sam Ximenes is an aerospace professional and Space Architect. His experience includes an inclusive knowledge of space architecture and systems engineering principles and practices involved in the definition, design, development, integration, test, manufacturing, and operations of large-scale aerospace systems. He has over 25 years of extensive experience in the aerospace industry providing products, services, and program management to NASA, DoD, and international aerospace programs:- He was a Senior Design Associate at Bell and Trotti Architects, working on space architecture design concepts for lunar bases and space station habitability studies for NASA/JSC.- He worked for Grumman Aerospace Corporation developing space station cabin architectures and human factors analysis, and led the programmatic design integration efforts of the Japanese and European laboratory modules for NASA’s space station program with development of program policy and requirements for interface management between U.S., European and Japanese space station laboratory modules for integration and interoperability of common subsystems.- He has held executive management positions at Lockheed Martin, L-3 Communications, and Futron Corporation where he was responsible for growth and development of business strategies for their respective business units in advanced programs and technology insertion for space systems.Sam is a subject matter expert in the field of space architecture and systems engineering for aerospace habitability systems; he has led concept design, analysis and trades for NASA exploration initiatives and commercial exploration program studies, including lunar outpost build-up sequencing, habitation systems and site planning for planetary surface systems, mission planning, operations & utilization, and has developed commercial spaceport operational assessments and programming requirements.Specialties: Space systems and executive management with respect to new program development, aerospace program management in support of NASA and aerospace industry new initiatives; senior level technical management covering a broad range of aerospace technology application areas for government, commercial, and international programs:- Program Management- Technical Engineering Management- Business Management- Business Development
