Further parallel projects have included the building and development of three education centres in the Arusha region of Tanzania and adjacent kindergartens, outreach programmes for more remote regions, links to Employment projects, the building of a tailoring workshop and the development of related education programmes in tailoring / business and the development of a School-to-School Project which creates links between classrooms in the UK and Tanzania and includes regular overseas development trips.Secured funds of over £100,000 since April 2008 from a range of different sources: individual givers, supporter-led fundraising, building corporate relationships, fundraising events, volunteer student groups, campaigns, trusts & grants and through effective supporter stewardship. I am currently a Senior Project Manager within a large e-commerce programme. The Programme is working to develop digital shop fronts with the purpose of opening up opportunities to for the British Council to sell a full suite of education related products. In early phases this has included focused work to ensure both compliance with tax & legal liabilities and tax efficient revenue routes, as well as a focus on all back end & reconciliation processes.Concurrently I am leading a project… Show more I am currently a Senior Project Manager within a large e-commerce programme. PM as part of a large scale and high profile e-commerce project, the primary aim of which was to procure and ‘deploy’ an Online Payment gateway service for British Council exam registration systems to enable global customers to pay for exams and other core British Council products in a simple and standardised manner. Currently reaching the conclusion of its roll-out, to date the Project has generated over £30 million in on-line sales and has been switched on in 55 countries. Currently reaching the conclusion of its roll-out, to date the Project has generated over £30 million in on-line sales and has been switched on in 55 countries. The project is complex and has required significant data analysis of local country tax regulations, local payment methods and cost-benefit analysis of the movement of monies across borders, as well as a parallel piece of work to review the exam business' PCI DSS compliance. This included: Management of a team of Project Managers, Project Assistants, internal developers, testers and trainers based across multiple locations. Management of the procurement of a second global Payment Provider. Extensive stakeholder management working with regional leads, country directors, and exams business leads to ensure effective communication and change management.
