BIOSam Young is President and CEO of NuEnerchi, Inc., previously Sam was President and CEO of Young and Associates, a firm formed to help companies in the areas of strategic and five year business planning, general management, product and market positioning/strategy, public relations and branding, marketing, strategic partnership creation, operations and, sales channel and business development. Sam previously served as CEO of Lynguent Inc. an EDA company with a revolutionary software product enabling the fast creation of analog circuit models to dramatically reduce the simulation time for mixed signal circuits. Previously, Sam was VP of Marketing and Sales for Contour Semiconductor, a start-up with an innovative approach to non-volatile memory. Sam has over 35 years of experience in memory, logic, solar energy, cloud computing, software, RF and embedded products during which time he was responsible for defining product lines, sales and managing P&L. He is co-founder of three high technology companies including Flash pioneer Exel Microelectronics (fundamental patent for Flash memory), Corsair Microsystems (leading supplier of DRAM and Flash modules with several hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue) and Hyundai Electronics Flash memory division currently doing in excess of $2 billion in revenue. Sam also held executive positions in several other successful companies ranging from start-up mode to hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. Sam serves or has served on the advisory board or BOD of several high tech firms and has raised well over $100M in venture capital and formed many strategic relationships with fortune 500 companies. Sam has extensive experience in doing business in Asia and has been with six start-ups as a direct employee and a dozen more as an advisor or part time executive. Sam chaired the EIA/JEDEC standards committee for all memory for four years.
