Abdessamad Ait Aicha alias Samad Iach is a Moroccan journalist and human rights defender. He has worked for various human rights organizations. As journalist, he has been contributing to the independent online news portal "Lakome2]", Hi, his articles have also been also published in other independent media outlets, such as Machahid and Hona Soutak., Hespresse, anwalpresse, Al Ayam... hi was founder of Ouarezazate Online. The first newspaper in the Ouararzazte...From 2009 to 2014, Samad worked as a researcher and capacity building coordinator at the Ibn Rushd Center for Studies and Communication, a Moroccan human rights NGO with a focus on freedom of expression, democracy and cultural development. In November 2014, the Center announced its closure after the Moroccan government had started to systematically prohibit its activities and shut it de facto down. Has as well participated in organizing and was a trainer in several workshop trainings in citizen journalism and social media From Dec 2014 to June 2015, Samad worked as a capacity building co-coordinator for the Dutch NGO Free Press Unlimited.in that position , he organized a workshop in multimedia and StoryMaker application and training in citizen journalism and digital security
