 Develop, review, and update training materials, manuals, and presentations related to health, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations of ADNOC. Design and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels within the organization. Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in employee knowledge and skills, and develop targeted training programs to address these gaps. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to training programs as needed. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in health, safety, and environmental management, and incorporate new information into training programs. Provide guidance and support to employees on HSE-related issues, including compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, engineering, and maintenance, to integrate HSE training into their respective areas of responsibility. Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses, and contribute to the development of corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and improve HSE performance.

 Ensures Qatar Petrochemical PTW procedures & all safety procedures are followed by contractor personnel. Ensure proper measures such as equipment shutdowns, isolation, gas testing, and work permits are issued in a timely manner. Ensure the Company Turnaround HSE plan is adhered to.  Provide input and support for the safe conduct of work by contractor personnel during Turnarounds.  Provide technical assistance and counseling to the TA teams and contractors regarding any safety concerns. Conducts regular work site safety inspections/audits/walkthroughs and report the findings to QATAR PETROCHEMICAL Safety. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Qatar Petrochemical golden rules and PPE compliance by the contractors. Attend regular meetings with the Turnaround team and contractors to discuss safety concerns and risk control measures. Ensure all work areas are safe for required work with visits to work sites during critical or potentially difficult work. Ensures coordination between various divisions, sections, and disciplines during Turnaround execution, to ensure that all act in harmony for smooth execution of Turnaround. Participates in incident/HIPO investigations following any incidents or HIPO NMs/Safety Observations. Checking tools and safety equipment for validity and color coding.  Preparation of daily reports to be submitted to the Qatar Petrochemical HSE team leader.  Reviewing method statements and participating in preparing JSA for critical tasks.  Ensure that all plant personnel apply safety rules and regulations and draw the attention of the superior to any infractions. Includes making regular plant tours, and checking that personnel are wearing the correct protective clothing and PPEs. Controls the use of Safety equipment and follows to replace defective or worn clothing and equipment by recommending supply as necessary, including removing equipment.

Project details: Project Supermax is the biggest project undertaken by HPL since its inception. Theproject was managed by internationally reputed contractors like M/s Toyo-India and involved majorconsultants from TEC-Japan, MHI-Japan, LG Chemicals-Korea, Honam-Korea, CBI Lummus-GermanyOur Scope of work included the installation of several large pieces of equipment and modification ofexisting equipment, Installation of two new cracking furnaces to the existing seven during therevamp. Other critical jobs included a lineup of a New Charge Gas Compressor, LLDPE Reactor,column modification (Ethylene Fractionator, Propylene Fractionator, Quench Tower, and GasolineFractionator), modification of cold box, etc.

Project details: Our Scope of work included the replacement of 4 existing, 30-year-old reactors withtwo new larger reactors manufactured of higher metallurgy that better equips them to processincreasingly higher sulfur levels present in crude feedstock processed at the refinery, Installation of 5new heat exchangers in the preheating circuit, Decommissioning of one of the Coker’s two existingfurnaces.
