The Middle East Children’s Institute, MECI, is an international nonprofit dedicated to providing educational, psychosocial, health and other humanitarian needs of refugees, women, and children in Jordan and Palestine. MECI’s child centered community development model focuses on improving children’s education by supplementing arts, music, and sports, into their daily after-school routine. The community development approach seeks to involve all village members in MECI’s education initiatives.

Questscope is an international NGO based in Jordan whose mission is to provide students and young individuals affected by war and poverty with an alternative path to receiving an education.

As a Fulbright ETA, I represented the United States as a cultural ambassador in the hopes to enhance mutual understanding between Americans and the people of Jordan through a teaching assignment at Ammon Applied University College.
