I received the B.Tech. degree in Mechatronics Engineering with a silver medal from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2021. Having worked on several research projects in the field of autonomous vehicles, complemented with a solid background in mechatronics engineering, I have joined ARMLab at CU-ICAR as a direct Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Dr. Venkat Krovi to pursue focused research in the field of vehicle automation. My research interests include autonomy-oriented modeling, estimation and simulation methods aimed at bridging the real2sim gap to develop physically and graphically accurate digital twins. I am contributing towards projects such as VIPR-GS, OpenCAV, AutoDRIVE, F1Tenth and Autoware.

Graduate Teaching AssistantClemson University International Center For Automotive Research Aug 2023 - Dec 2023Greenville, South Carolina, United StatesI am contributing to the course entitled "AuE-8930: Scaled Autonomous Vehicles" as a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) for the Fall 2023 semester at CU-ICAR. We are working on integrating the Autoware Core/Universe stack on physical (real-world) as well as virtual (digital twin simulations) autonomous vehicles across scales (small, mid and full-scale AVs). -
Creator And DeveloperAutodrive Ecosystem May 2020 - PresentI am the creator and developer of AutoDRIVE Ecosystem, which is envisioned to be an open, comprehensive, flexible, and integrated ecosystem for enhancing autonomous driving research and education. AutoDRIVE bridges the gap between software simulation and hardware deployment by providing the AutoDRIVE Simulator and AutoDRIVE Testbed, a well-suited duo for real2sim and sim2real applications. It also offers AutoDRIVE Devkit, a developer's kit for rapid and flexible development of autonomy algorithms, which can be targetted to the Simulator as well as Testbed. -
Research AssistantNanyang Technological University Oct 2021 - Apr 2022SingaporeI was the captain of NTU’s Team SINGABOAT-VRX for the Virtual RobotX (VRX) Competition 2022. We worked under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ming Xie to develop a virtual autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) capable of performing all the 6 challenge tasks of the competition. Our team secured the 3rd rank internationally and also received several special awards. -
Student Research AdvisorNanyang Technological University Sep 2020 - Oct 2021SingaporeAssoc. Prof. Dr. Ming Xie appointed me to advise the next batch (2021) of India Connect @ NTU (IC@N) interns through their research journey. I brainstormed different problem statements with the new interns, helped them with implementation of their work, and guided them on drafting their reports and presenting their results. Even after completion of their internship, we are still in touch. -
Undergraduate Research InternNanyang Technological University Jul 2020 - Sep 2020SingaporeI was selected to work under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ming Xie at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as a part of the India Connect @ NTU (IC@N) Research Internship Program 2020. My team and I developed a simulation system for scaled autonomous vehicles; we call it the AutoDRIVE Simulator. -
Undergraduate ResearcherAutonomous Systems Laboratory Jan 2019 - May 2021Chennai, IndiaI have worked on several projects in the field of autonomous systems including robot locomotion, kinematics and dynamics, perception, sensor fusion, mapping, probabilistic localization, SLAM, motion planning and control. I am currently working on traditional as well as learning-based strategies for autonomous systems. My research particularly targets autonomous vehicles and mobile robots including single and multi-agent paradigms.

Industrial TraineeBosch Rexroth India Limited Jul 2018 - Apr 2019Chennai, IndiaI have undergone industrial trainings on Hydraulics Technology (Basic, Electro and Proportional Hydraulics), Pneumatics Technology (Basic, Electro and Advanced Pneumatics) and PLC (PLC Basics, Programming and Interface to Pneumatic Drives). I was exposed to 45 hours of intensive training and multiple industrial-grade projects in each technology wherein I gained a solid experience in fluid power systems and industrial automation. -
Mobile Robotics ResearcherNext Tech Lab Aug 2018 - Dec 2018Chennai, IndiaI carried out research in the field of mobile robotics that was particularly focused on developing control strategies for a single robot as well as coordinated multi-robot swarms. My work mostly involved simulating control algorithms for mobile robots in MATLAB, but I also developed a small differential-drive mobile robot to validate the control strategies in real-world. -
Product Development EngineerAicra-All India Council For Robotics & Automation Jul 2018 - Aug 2018IndiaI was assigned a project to develop a product-level design of a mobile robot from ground-up. I was trained and mentored to meticulously design components and assemblies for various subsystems of the robot and validating the designs by carrying out finite element analysis and motion analysis of all the components and sub-assemblies. I was also exposed to developing photorealistic renderings, animations and crisp documentation for marketing purpose. This not only improved my proficiency in using SOLIDWORKS, but I also gained a robust understanding of product development process as a whole. -
Technical TraineeLema Labs Sep 2017 - Mar 2018Chennai, IndiaI was a technical trainee at Lema Labs (IIT Madras), where I was trained and assigned project works in the field of robotics, IoT and machine learning.
