I helped instruct week long rafting expeditions as well asrock climbing sections of courses. Responsibilities as a logistics Coordinator included issueand de-issue of gear to students and instructors, briefing students, driving students and gearto and from course sites, management of the warehouse gear maintenance.

Rusinga Island, Kenya

I volunteered in a small Kenyan school on an island on Lake Victoria for 4 weeks and lived witha local family. I set up a cultural exchange with students in Wanyama Secondary School and a6th grade class in rural Iowa. The students were able to interact with each other through letterwriting. This was part of 4.5 months of travel through Africa.
