I am extremely passionate about the design of objects, our interactions with them, and what truly makes something indispensable for everyday use.I remember the moment I discovered Industrial Design through a book about IDEO my dad had given me in high school. We were fortunate enough to tour IDEO in San Francisco while on a family vacation, and upon seeing the ‘war room’ riddled with Nerf guns, Skittles, and sketches plastering the wall, I was hooked.Since that day I have worked tirelessly to develop an approach to design that focuses on our attachment to products and why they mean so much to us. The more a product or service truly means to us the longer we keep it around, pass it down, and leave a lasting impression on others; but most importantly we leave a much smaller footprint.Outside of design I am hugely passionate about sport. I see sport as one of the greatest stories created week in and week out, over and over again. It can stop wars (see Didier Drogba) it can be dramatic and crushing all at once, and I love it.I hope someday that my two boys find passion the way I have, wherever that may be. The light in their eyes and their curiosity for everything has put a whole new purpose on things for their mom and me.
