I am an entrepreneur and scientist with a focus on ocean technology. My passion comes from the pursuit of enjoying sailing without damaging the ocean, while having the best ship performance. Having a PhD. in Advanced Chemistry and Metallurgy, I founded IDN (Investigación y Desarrollo Naval), specializing in offering advanced anti-corrosion devices for ships. After 5 years of experience in research and industrial engineering, I then founded TITANIUM TECHNOLOGY, when I realised how problematic the growth of biofouling is, not only in vessels, but in all structures in contact with water. Operation and maintenance costs for these industries affected by biofouling are tremendous, and each of them uses conventional antifouling methodologies, which are just unsustainable and cause tremendous costs. After my discoveries and several patents registered, our antifouling technology is ready to implement! So, the user doesn't harm the environment and saves in maintenance costs. We are currenlty inmerse in creating the first "biofouling-free boat" in the market, and very soon, propellers with our technology will be out too, pipes without the need to use chemical antifouling products in irrigation systems will be used too, and, "biofouling-free" heat exchangers willl be available too. I am thrilled how we are changing the way we deal with the growth of biofouling in a sustainable way.
