About Saman Salari

After studying Electrical Engineering at UCSB, I spent 5.5 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles in technology industry. In my first job at Oracle, I helped Mid-Market companies modernize their finance and HR operations using Oracle’s applications. I spent my last 3 years before Kellogg at Mission, a cloud services startup. As an Account Executive, I made Mission the #1 consulting partner of AWS in Northern California and then moved on to build a demand generation of team 9 from the ground up. Post Kellogg, I joined Oliver Wyman's Private Capital practice to assist PE firms on diligence and value creation projects. At my core, I’m a problem solver and relationship builder. I’m naturally curious and gravitate towards big challenges that provide a learning opportunity and allow me to stretch out of my comfort zone. It's probably one of the reason I decided to run for Kellogg student body president. I enjoy working in collaborative and highly functioning teams where I can learn from other people’s unique perspectives. Working with people, I value personal accountability, bias for action, and empathy. When I’m not reading non-fiction or technology newsletters, I find myself cooking elaborate meals, planning my next road trip (my fiancé and I tent camped from LA to Chicago), trying new restaurants, or going on outdoor runs!
