Extended 3 and created 2 new GNC (Guidance, Navigation, Control) algorithms for the Falcon rocket flight computer.Developed on the Dragon spacecraft flight computer implementing new technologies to improve the performance of onboard telemetry logging for the Falcon 9 v1.1 launch and onwards.Performed full-stack design and development of a database API, including front end interaction, extending in-house data warehousing capabilities, visualization & real-time analysis of flight telemetry. The data warehouse extension was prototyped and implemented in 6 weeks (from the start of internship), and pushed out to Cape Canaveral, Hawthorne mission control and Texas. It was extremely useful during the CRS-2 Flight and is now an ongoing development project for the next and future flights.

Implemented new technologies & services which measurably increased performance by 350%, resulting in a large reduction of the host fleet needed to run the service, freeing up space to make some exciting new moves. R&D for the Mp3 Catalog Quality Checker service, which identifies inconsistencies in the metadata published to Amazon's MP3 web store. Team of 9 in an Agile environment (JIRAs, Scrums, etc.).Internship work went direct to production, with all of the change (metrics, R&D, code, etc.) documented for future expansion.

Worked on the humanoid robot Golem Krang at the GT RIM Humanoid Robotics Lab, including wiring and configuration of Schunk arms & developing FT sensor interfaces.Designed motion compliance control interface for a balancing two-wheeled humanoid robot. Due to this and other work on the Krang, it received a $900,000 grant from the US Navy.Designed MATLAB simulator for UAV SPLAM system merging Voronoi decomposition & Potential fields into a novel algorithm with team of 3 PhD students.
