In this role, I lead a dynamic team of developers, spearheading initiatives in AI Governance, Risk, and Compliance management, leveraging our diverse skill sets to break new grounds daily. My leadership is not just about technical know-how; it’s about fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ethical technology development.Throughout my tenure at IBM, I've had the honor of being a part of elite teams that crafted the Eclipse platform. I architected real-time analytics initiatives on the IBM Big Data Platform, and led a team of PhDs at IBM Research in the development of IBM Watson Health products.I founded and nurtured the IBM StreamsDev open-source community, a testament to my belief in collaborative and open development. I also orchestrated the architecture of the Streams Healthcare Analytics Platform, a pivotal tool in healthcare data management.Samantha holds multiple patents and is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering with First-class Honours. She has been recognized for her technical achievements, including twice recipient of IBM’s Outstanding Technical Achievement Award, the highest technical award at IBM.In addition to her professional accomplishments, Samantha is also a certified boxing coach with Boxing Ontario and works as a professional coach in her spare time.
