Payroll and Benefit

• Manage the process of Semi-Monthly payroll and various Bonus payments for both Canada and US employee• Review and reconcile payroll Journal entries including general payroll entries, accruals, workers compensation and benefits• Work with Finance team to provide accurate and complete financial data• Monitor provincial, state and federal changes i.e. rate changes and labor laws• Administer the various employee benefit programs for both US and Canada employee• Work with payroll and benefits vendors to maintain and upgrade payroll and benefits systems• Reconcile and prepare Annual T4 and W2 forms, prepare payroll year-end reports and audit working papers• Mentor and develop 5 team members, maintain a process improvement environment• Create and maintain payroll and benefits policies and procedures• Prepare payroll and benefits report for senior management and other departments• Provide support to Finance personnel and other departments
